Dosage

3-9g, up to 30g topically

Actions

1. Promotes the movement of blood & menstruation: for pain due to blood stasis obstructing the mesnes, & for post partum abdominal pain from blood stasis.

2. Invigorates the blood & dispels blood stasis: used topically or internally for pain & swelling from traumatic injury or abscess.

3. Promotes urination: for post partum edema, post partum painful urinary dysfunction, & systemic or facial edema.

Cautions

Use with caution during pregnancy & in cases without blood stasis.
