It is an important herb for chronic cold stagnation dysenteric disorders that wax & wane, or alternating hard & soft stool. It is particularly useful for dysentery due to protozoans.2. Treats intermittent fever & chillds: for malarial disorders. 3. Also used topically for treating warts & corns either as a paste or ointment. |

CautionsContraindicated in cases of Spleen or Stomach deficiency, or where there is nausea or vomiting. Use with caution during pregnancy & in children. This herb can injure the stomach, intestine, liver, & kidneys. It should not be takn long-term or in large doses. Those with gastrointestinal bleeding, liver or kidney diseases should not be given this herb. Toxic: Large doses of this herb can cause marked vasodilation in the viscera to the point of hemorrhage. |
