Actions

1. Tonifies the Kidneys & fortifies the yang: for impotence, urinary incontinence, deficiency wheezing, & debility in the elderly.

2. Invigorates the blood: for bleeding & pain from blood stasis, & swelling due to sores & boils. Also used for abdominal masses.

Cautions

Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated in cases of deficient yin with heat signs. Not recommended for people with weak digestive conditions or during colds.
