Dosage 3-9g	Actions 1. Disperses wind & clears heat: for patterns of externally contracted wind-heat, especially with loss of voice & a swollen, sore throat. 2. Vents rashes: for early stage of measles with an incomplete expression of the rash. 3. Clears the eyes & removes superficial visual obstruction: for wind-heat eye problems such as red, painful, & swollen eyes, or blurry vision. 4. Stops spasms & extinguishes wind: for childhood febrile diseases in which wind causes convulsions, spasms, delerium, or night terrors. Also used as an auxiliry substance in treating tetanus.	Meridians Lung, Liver	Cautions Contraindicated in cases of exterior deficiency. Use with caution during pregnancy.
